A Podcast Recommendation for Pregnancy and Birth

1–2 minutes

Advent Calendar – 8th December

For today’s advent calendar surprise, I want to share a resource I really wish I’d known about before having my daughter: the Birth_ed Podcast and the brilliant work of its founder, Megan Rossiter.

Like many mums, my birth story wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped. Looking back, I still feel frustrated at myself for not more strongly advocating for my own wishes, and instead just letting things happen to me and my baby. It’s made me realise how important it is to feel informed and confident about decisions during pregnancy and birth.

That’s why Megan’s work resonates so deeply with me—she’s doing so much to ensure other mums-to-be don’t feel the same.

Megan offers:

  • A free online workshop to help you prepare for birth.
  • Practical downloads covering key topics.
  • And her detailed and honest podcast, packed with valuable information and inspiring birth stories.

If you’re pregnant, planning a family, or just curious about the realities of giving birth, I can’t recommend these resources enough. The podcast, especially, is honest, empowering, and full of insights—it’s like having a knowledgeable friend guiding you every step of the way.

I hope you find it as inspiring and helpful as I do!
